“HIGH PERFORMING AGENCY” for FCHA Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Programs

Fort Collins Housing Authority has won high marks from HUD’s Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) after inspectors under contract with REAC examined its Public Housing. Fort Collins Housing Authority has earned “High Performer” status for 2011 based on its high score for the physical assessment, as well as earning top scores in financial management, modernization work, and housing management. HUD periodically inspects and rates every Public Housing program under the Public Housing Assessment System or PHAS.

Fort Collins Housing Authority also earned HUD’s top performance rating for its Housing Choice Voucher program for 2011. The Section Eight Management Assessment Program or SEMAP is designed by HUD to measure the performance of agencies that administer the Housing Choice Voucher program. Their scoring is based on 14 different areas of performance and agencies that score a 90 or higher are designated as “High Performers”.
